and Mitigation Measures
by Er. Jee
Yi Yng – Country Representative Singapore, AECOM
Abstract
The presentation will describe the tunnelling works at Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) Contract T216 where the twin tunnels were constructed between the TEL Stevens Station and TEL Napier Station, undercrossing Stevens Road, White House Road, Nassim Road and Cluny Road. Along the tunnel alignment, TBMs mined through challenging Bukit Timah granite (BTG) formation and undercrossed multiple existing buildings, live operational infrastructure such as DTL tunnels and Wayang Satu flyover. This presentation will focus on the key challenges encountered and mitigation measures implemented during project planning, design and construction stages.
