Tunnelling and Underground Construction Society (Singapore)

Underground Singapore is a Conference organised by the Tunnelling and Underground Construction Society (Singapore) once every two years. This is the nineth edition in the esries of UGS conferences following the successful launch in 2001. The purpose of the Conference is to provide a forum for discussion of contemporary issues relevant to the design and construction of underground works in and around Singapore. The aim is for personnel from different sectors of the industry such as contractors, consultants, owners, equipment manufacturers, material suppliers and researchers to gather together and share their knowledge and experiences with the wider tunnelling and underground construction community. The conference proceedings serve as a useful reference score. In this edition, over 40 technical papers have been accepted for publication. These papers highlight the current challenges faced in bored tunnelling and deep excavations as well as the lessons learnt and new methods/technologies adopted.
