TUCSS is
pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the eleventh edition of
Underground Singapore (UGS). The Conference is planned to take place in
September/October 2023.
Since 2001, the
Conference has provided a forum to share and discuss issues relevant to the
planning, design and construction of underground projects in Singapore and the
region. The aim is for contractors, engineers, owners and researchers to come
together and contribute their experiences. We especially encourage younger
engineers to submit technical papers on their projects, as part of their own
professional development.
Papers on underground construction in Singapore are particularly encouraged, but papers on relevant work outside Singapore are also welcome. We are particularly interested in good case studies. Such case studies should include a summary of the surface conditions, brief details of the project, including construction methods and sequence and monitoring results. Interesting challenges, new observations and construction solutions adopted can be included where appropriate. Back-analysis of the results, where carried out, is welcome.
